Star Alliance network
The more you fly on the Star Alliance network, the faster you will earn sufficient miles or points to redeem for a reward ticket or upgrade.
There is no single Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Programme; simply join one of the programmes offered by our member airlines. Membership in any of the programmes gives you full access to the whole Star Alliance network, with no need to register with any additional programme.
Whenever you fly with one of our member airlines, provide your frequent flyer number when booking your flight or when checking in, and the miles or points will be credited to your account automatically, if you travel in eligible booking classes.
Passengers who reach a higher status, equal to Star Alliance Gold Status, receive a multitude of benefits when travelling on our network:
- Priority Security & Immigration
- Priority Baggage Handling
Enjoy the comfort of our lounges before you board an Air New Zealand flight, if you are flying in Business Premier or having eligibility to access one of our lounges. As a frequent flyer with Star Alliance Gold Status, you can enjoy access to a network of over 1,000 lounges.
Passengers with a Star Alliance Gold Status who are transferring at London-Heathrow Terminal 2 can enjoy access to three lounges (Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, United Club, Singapore Airlines Silverkris Lounge). During transit at Los Angeles International Airport eligible passengers can access the Star Alliance Lounge.
